Bristol Beaufort


A section of Beaufort Mk.VI torpedo bombers in the markings of 100 Squadron RAAF operating from
Milne Bay on the eastern tip of New Guinea. Australian built Beauforts were more powerful than
the earlier British versions as they were powered by the Pratt & Whitney S3C4-G engines.


Bristol Beaufighter IC


A Section of Beaufighters flown by No.30 Squadron RAAF in New Guinea. These are British built
Mk.ICs. They are armed with six Browning .303 machine guns and four 20mm Hispano cannon.
